When Ken Burns' "The Vietnam War" was released, WTVI hosted a special event for the Vietnam War and other war veterans to enjoy a pre-release look at this epic documentary as well as the WTVI-created "Vietnam in the Carolinas."

This graphic in the center was the promotional poster. The image of the silhouetted man and helicopter were provided along with the black-and-white photos. I added the photos into a film strip to show more scenes from the series to give viewers an idea of what was represented in this documentary.

The graphics on the left and right are the event program. The faded photos in the right graphic are actual photos of the news director's father when he served in the Vietnam War.
